Yesterday marked the end of the 146th season at Saratoga Race Course, and it was yet another season to remember.
The paid attendance for the 40-day meet was more than 970,000, and the season featured a record $17.45 million in stakes purses.
And the track just keeps getting better and better. This year, the facility boasted more than $2 million in capital improvements including some technology upgrades such as 750 new HD televisions, enhanced Wi-Fi capacity, and a new, improved sound system.
The track also now has Trakus technology for horseplayers and three new HD video boards across the property. Trakus is a tracking system that is said to be more accurate and immediate than GPS or other positioning techniques, which uses proprietary wireless communications to track tags fitted into each horse’s saddlecloth during live racing. The result is real-time tracking and results on television and web broadcasts, greatly enhancing the viewing experience.
If you owned a luxury condominium at 38 High Rock, you’d be minutes away from the shopping, dining, history, and of course the racing that Saratoga Springs has to offer.
